Cynthia D. Crockett, M.Ed.
Science Education Specialist
Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics

Cynthia D. Crockett has been a science classroom educator at the middle and high school levels for 15 years, and involved in numerous science education efforts at the state and national levels. She joined the Science Education Department at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Harvard University, as a Science Education Specialist and Education Researcher in 1999 and has been involved in National Science Foundation-funded research-based curriculum development and assessment development projects since then. She holds a B.S. in Science Education from Miami University (OH) and a M.Ed. degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Cynthia is currently the Division Director for Research in Science Education for the National Science Teaching Association and a representative to the National Association for Research in Science Teaching.
