Doug Edwards is a Senior Research Associate at Georgia Tech’s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, & Computing (CEISMC) His background includes time as an engineer with the US Air Force, an Associate Professor of Information Technology, and a high school mathematics, engineering, and computer science teacher. His bachelor’s degree is in electrical engineering, and he earned his Ph.D. in a mathematics education concentration applied to computer science instruction. Edwards develops K-12 STEM and STEAM curricula and implements online and face-to-face teacher professional learning. He was a co-Principal Investigator on the CAPACiTY NSF STEM+C project. His research centers on assessing the impacts of culturally relevant computer science STEAM curricula.
